Big Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer, you will be working with Data Scientists which will enable you to use your skills to strong data analytics experience to understand the data analysis strategies and identify and justify scalable algorithms to implement these strategies.

This role will enable you to use your skills to:
* Build and maintain the organisation's distributed computing platform
* Understand the data analysis strategies
* Identify and justify scalable algorithms to implement these strategies
* Building automated pipelines to develop, test and deploy data analytics applications

What it takes:
* Programming expertise in Java, Scala or C++ for at least 5 years is required
* Hands-on production experience in Big Data technologies (Hadoop and Spark) for at least 1 year is necessary
* You must also have a deep conceptual understanding of algorithms and experience in analysing and developing efficient algorithms
* Experience in R, Python, NoSQL (Mongo, Cassandra), SQL will be a huge advantage
* Bachelor Degree in Data Science, Computer Science or Engineering
